Half-Life 2 is getting on a bit now, being almost 7 years since it was released on Windows. But there’s no denying the impact it’s had on gaming culture, or the passion of its fanbase who are getting increasingly desperate for a Half-Life 3 game that may never come at this point.
With no third game to satisfy fan’s hunger for more Half-Life, fans are redirecting their efforts elsewhere. One such group, known on YouTube as the PurchaseBrothers, have made these awesome live action videos entitled Escaping From City 17.
The first episode was released in October 2009 as part of the creator’s commercial reel. It was so successful that they decided to make a second in their spare time with a $250 budget and previously owned and donated software, finally releasing it two weeks ago. Oh yeah, and it’s fifteen minutes of awesome.
