PopCap Games released their iOS4 update for Plants vs. Zombies earlier today.
The update is said to fix a few minor bugs and generally improve performance as well as providing the coveted multitasking feature.
This means you can now switch to another app mid-game then come back and resume at the same point you stopped playing, rather than have the app restart.
PvZ was the first game I downloaded onto my iPhone and remains one of my all time favourites. It’s good to see Popcap games are continuing to provide updates, although there is still no sign of new levels being added despite being heavily requested.
Plants vs. Zombies is available to download here for $2.99 or £1.79, and I would heavily recommend you do so. It currently has a four and a half star rating off 17,400 customer ratings in the U.S.
*UPDATE* PopCap Games have been busy today, just releasing an update for Bejeweled 2 that enables multi-tasking. I suspect they may be going across the board and have released updates for other games as well. So if you have another game from PopCap make sure to check for a multitask update.
